ATEVAL is a private industrial association established in 1972. It has more than 340 associated textile companies and represents almost 11.500 direct jobs. ATEVAL activity is divided into several departments: innovation, industry and environment, external promotion, training, labour and tax law. The association provides advice in all these fields, as well as information and training services in diverse industrial areas.
ATEVAL in the last five years has participated in more than 12 financed projects by Horizon2020, COSME, Interreg Sudoe and LIFE programs.
ATEVAL is responsible for coordinating the actions of the CIE (Consejo Intertextil Español), carried out under the name of Home Textiles from Spain. To achieve its activities, it maintains a continuous collaboration and work in close contact with other relevant stakeholders of the region, institutions and policy bodies of different areas such as the Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX), El Instituto Valenciano de Competitividad Empresarial (IVACE), the Valencian Institute of Export (IVEX), the chambers of commerce of the Valencian Region, the Textile Research Institute (AITEX), Universities (UPV, UV), the CEOE, COEPA, CIERVAL, CEV, etc.
Ateval has experience in:
- Promoting capacity building and promoting organization so that the private sector can develop the services required by a modern, competitive, equitable and supportive industry.
- Contribute to the transformation of national systems of research and technology transfer and network development that articulate cooperative work with countries through regional mechanisms.
- Contribute with the countries to improve the public and private institutional capacities of the industrial sector for the formulation of policies and the implementation of reforms that favor the conservation and sustainable use of resources.
