The new COSME project EU-ALLIANCE started on Thursday September 16th 2021.
The objective of EU-ALLIANCE is to support the internationalization of European SMEs in technical textiles, connectivity, advanced technologies and advanced materials. The project targets in particular the dual-use (civil and military) security and defense markets in 4 countries: United States, Canada, Japan and Indonesia.
The project challenge is the establishment of technological and commercial cooperation between European SMEs and members of the EU-ALLIANCE project on the one hand, and partners in target countries on the other. To achieve the project objectives, the partnership is organizing 4 travel missions to the targeted countries United States, Canada, Japan and Indonesia, in which the European SMEs are invited to participate.
Funded within the EU Program COSME, the Project EU-ALLIANCE is the extension of the previous project ALLIANCE, and the partnership is basically the same: the 3 Textile Clusters TECHTERA (France, leader), NTT (Italy) and POINTEX (Italy), the organization NIDV (Netherlands), which provides services related to national and international security, the Technological District SIIT (Italy) working on civil, safety and defence and the Cluster SYSTEMATIC (France), active in deep tech and digital technologies.
The budget of the project is around 500,000.00 €, and the activities will last for 2 years, focusing on supporting the European SMEs.
The Kick-Off meeting of the new project EU-ALLIANCE will be held on September 30th, in Ecully – Lyon (F), at the headquarters of the coordinator, the cluster TECHTERA.
