Torino Fashion Week is an international, independent and innovative format addressed to young fashion designers, brands and fashion small and medium enterprises, promoted by EEN, the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN).

This year’s claim was ‘Fashion wears peace’, and the event was attended by a delegation of Ukrainian fashion designers and by Maki and Tukwini Mandela (House of Mandela), the daughter and granddaughter of the Nobel Peace Prize winner Nelson Mandela. had the honour of participating in the event with two speeches as part of the B2Worth@Torino FashionMatch 2022. The speeches were presented by Paola Fontana, head of the Research and Development Services Division of Città Studi.

The TALK 1 (Circular Fashion) was an interesting Panel Discussion on “Industry and stakeholders’ vision: Fashion Towards Future, sustainability and Innovation”. Two new projects focused on the circular economy were presented: RegioGreenTex (Regions for Green Textiles) and Transitions (Transition Design Education for Fashion and Textiles sectors).

During TALK 2 (Internationalization for SMEs) the EU-ALLIANCE project was presented. The project, which started in September 2021, envisages an alliance for the development of international trade in advanced materials and connectivity in the defence and security markets. At the heart of the project is the organisation of four international missions (to the USA, Indonesia, Japan and Canada), in which textile companies can participate and receive reimbursements of up to €1,000 per mission.

The aim of the event was to stimulate the creation of international collaborations between operators in the textile, fashion, design and creative industries by encouraging bilateral sector meetings.
